Today, COAST Foundation marked a crucial step with a national-level workshop on Access to Finance and Access to Market for farmers, held from 24 to 25 December 2023.
Leaders from diverse Farmers’ Organizations across the country gathered to highlight the priority need for policies that rationalize access to loans from banks, MFIs, and private sectors. It's time to stand shoulder to shoulder with our farming heroes, alleviating collateral challenges, easier access to information, tech solutions and paving the way for a better agricultural landscape!
Prioritizing skill development in both financial and administrative management, linked with the adoption of climate-smart technologies, we are steering towards sustainable agriculture.
Undoubtedly, our farmers are contributing significantly to our economy. We advocate for policies to simplify farmers' access to loans from banks, MFIs, and private sectors. Additionally, we focus on facilitating the transfer and adoption of climate-adaptive technologies for a sustainable agricultural future.
